The awards ceremony was held on Friday April 23rd 2010 at the Wei Hing Theatre at City University Hong Kong. With over 50 schools participating, we had a wonderful turnout of more than 300 guests, including teachers, students and parents. The event was organised by MCI and catered by Go Gourmet with student prizes sponsored by Bookazine and Edible Arrangements. Each student was presented with a copy of the anthology by chairman of the judges and renowned author, Nury Vittachi.

The HKYWA committee was please to have selected Room to Read as the official charity and they received a cheque in the amount of HKD19,500 towards their meaningful cause.

The Hong Kong Young Writers Awards 2010 was a huge success!
